Brutal 30-Second Ad May Finally Change Your Mind About Texting and Driving

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is kicking off National Distracted Driving Awareness Month with a 30-second ad illustrating how even one thoughtless time texting while driving can be deadly. The ad draws you in with a slice-of-life scene featuring a few teens laughing and chatting in a car.

How does Mashable know what's going viral?
Mashable built a system called Velocity, which scours the social web, collecting lots and lots of data around how people are engaging with published articles. It then pulls all of that data back to Mashable, dumps it into our own predictive engine, and predicts which articles are about to go viral.
