Smashing Newsletter: Upcoming Changes

The email is not displayed properly? View it in your browser.

Hello,

Here at Smashing Magazine, we care a lot about quality. Over the last few months, we've made a big push to clean up the designs of our projects so that you can focus on the high-quality content without too many distractions. That's why you'll notice some changes soon to all of our projects, including our bi-monthly email newsletter.

We want to deliver relevant content to your inbox, so we do our best to ensure that every issue meets the editorial standards that we've developed over the years. Our advertisers help to cover a lot of our costs, but we believe that ads also detract from the content, making the newsletter look noisy. We'd like to change that.

Change: Fewer Ads, An Extra Monthly Issue

From now on, we'll keep the number of ads per issue to a minimum. And to help us cover our costs, we'll replace the promotional content with a special issue dedicated to Smashing projects and products. You'll receive an extra monthly newsletter issue with updates on our books, eBooks, community events, beta-testing invitations, etc. In fact, you will be among the first to hear of them.

However, when you signed up for the newsletter, you never agreed to receiving anything but editorial content from us, so we wanted to kindly inform you of the coming changes up front.

We want you to feel comfortable with our plans and future mailings. So, if you'd like to unsubscribe, please feel free to do so (or you can unsubscribe later at any time). We would miss you, but we'd respect your decision and would remove you from the mailing list immediately. You'd never hear from us again.

But, if it is OK with you, then thank you so much for understanding! We appreciate your support, and we'll make sure to keep your subscription worthwhile. We're looking forward to more useful and relevant Smashing newsletters in your inbox!
