Schmidt is joining a private humanitarian trip being organized by former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, according to the Associated Press citing "two people familiar with the group's plans." Schmidt's visit will be the first to North Korea by a top Google executive. It's not exactly clear what Schmidt will be doing while in North Korea -- the United States heavily restricts trade with the largely isolated Communist nation, so it's unlikely that he'll be negotiating any business deals.
