The video, which features various animated characters singing a catchy tune warning of the dangers of acting unsafely around trains, was expected to pick up at least one prize at Cannes. The film may end up winning a third Grand Prix since it is favored to win in the Films Lions category later this week. | Yahoo Received 12,000+ Requests for User Data from Agencies in 6 Months Posted: 18 Jun 2013 01:39 AM PDT  Following in the footsteps of Apple, which released a statement about privacy yesterday, Yahoo now released a similar statement, disclosing the number of requests for user data from government agencies the company has received According to Yahoo, law enforcement agencies made between 12,000 and 13,000 requests for user data between December 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013. The most common of these requests, claims Yahoo, concerned "fraud, homicides, kidnappings, and other criminal investigations." | Incredible Model of 'Friends' Apartment Made Entirely Out of Paper Posted: 17 Jun 2013 06:34 PM PDT  It's been nine years since Monica and Chandler Bing packed up and moved out of their oversized apartment in the series finale of Friends (mind-boggling, right?). But take a look at this model by Brazilian artist Bruna Salvador Conforto, and a wave of nostalgia just about knocks you out. The incredibly intricate model, made entirely of paper, took Conforto nearly two years to complete. Some of the items in the apartment were so tiny — like the glasses on the kitchen shelves — that she needed to use tweezers to build them. | 'Question Bridge' Project Inspires Dialogue Among African-American Men Posted: 17 Jun 2013 04:50 PM PDT  The Question Bridge project, a multimedia art initiative meant to "represent and redefine Black male identity in America," has taken to Kickstarter with Question Bridge Interactive. Through the funding effort, the creators hope to expand their message by developing a multimedia online platform through which the project can go viral. Question Bridge attempts to combat stereotypes and public misconceptions about African-American men by presenting a video dialogue among people of diverse socioeconomic, geographical, cultural, and religious backgrounds and ages.

OpenAirplane launched Monday at airports in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Jose, Kissimmee and Detroit with the goal of dramatically simplifying aircraft rental.
OpenAirplane members first take a standardized flight exam before they're allowed to borrow an airplane from a variety of airports. Interactive pulled back the mask on Batman: Arkham Origins at E3, giving fans more insight into Batman's budding crime-fighting days. Batman: Arkham Origins is set on Christmas Eve, early in the Dark Knight's career, when he encounters the Black Mask, a villain younger fans of the franchise might be less familiar with. The Black Mask has invited 12 assassins to Gotham to kill Batman for a juicy reward, and other popular villains like the Joker have also come for a piece. This title builds on the foundation of the other Arkham titles — Arkham Asylum and Arkham City — in which Batman uses a host of gadgets and skills to sneak by or fight through enemies.
