The update, T-Mobile claims, is optional and will not be delivered over-the-air -- only by using Samsung's sync software Kies. However, TmoNews claims some users have actually received the update over-the-air. Besides giving users the obvious benefits of Ice Cream Sandwich, T-Mobile notes that it will be required to use the Media Hub after August 27th.
