Justin Bieber Responds to ‘White Trash Prince’ Criticism of Overalls via Instagram Posted: 25 Nov 2012 11:31 PM PST Justin Bieber is fighting back against critics who condemned his choice of attire when meeting Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Twitter exploded with criticism of Bieber, with many calling him "disrespectful." Gossip blog Gawker was particularly vocal, labelling the singer a "white trash prince." I know I shouldn't be attached to social norms, but I think Bieber wearing overalls to see the Prime Minister is pretty disrespectful— Christin Spencer (@Christalite61) November 26, 2012 Justin bieber wears a snap back and overalls… |

Combining a traditional ink-jet printer and an "electrospinning machine," scientists can build implants made from synthetic and natural materials, science journal Biofabrication reported. The former ensures the implant is strong, while the latter promotes cell growth, researchers said. To test their performance in a living being, the implants were inserted into mice for two, four and eight weeks, with successful results. "After eight weeks of implantation, the constructs appeared to have developed the struct… More About: 3D printers |
Is Cyber Monday Losing Its Luster? Posted: 25 Nov 2012 08:48 PM PST Seven years ago, Cyber Monday was established as the online counterpart to Black Friday, a day when Internet retailers would band together to lure holiday shoppers to web storefronts through steep discounts, free shipping and other promotions. So far, Cyber Monday has delivered on its mission, becoming the biggest single shopping day of the year for online retailers. And it keeps getting bigger: Sales on the day amounted to $1.25 billion in the U.S. in 2011, up 22% from 2010's record highs, according to comScore. Sales on the second biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday, tallied $816 million. But a number of trends -- online retailers' increasing participation in Black… More About: cyber monday, retail, shopping |

Umbrella Shield Defends You From Epic Rain and Wind [VIDEO] Posted: 25 Nov 2012 04:43 PM PST On particularly stormy days, even the sturdiest umbrellas often fail to protect against howling winds and heavy rainfall, leaving you soaked and shivering. Shaped differently from your typical triangular umbrella, the "Rain Shield" is designed specifically to combat torrential downpours. With its dome-like top, the umbrella is formed using only a steel wire. An added side-flap made from "waterproof cloth" acts like a shield against water that hits the user from an angle, according to an official video. After use, the Rain Shield can fold up into a small 7-inch (18-centimeter) diameter plate. Would you use this umbrella? Tell us in the co… |
