Dotcom has moved the project (which currently consists of little more than a splash page) to a new web domain, Mega.co.nz, and announced the change on Twitter. Ultra-Cheap Android Tablet Comes to India Posted: 12 Nov 2012 03:23 AM PST UK company Datawind has launched its Aakash 2 tablet in India. It's an Android device which will be available to students at an extremely low price. The Aakash 2 can be bought for Rs 3,500 ($64) on the market, but it will cost the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development Rs 2,263 ($41), and with government subsidies it will be available to students at only Rs 1,130 ($21) The Aakash 2 tablet sports a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of memory (expandable to 32GB via a microSD card) and a 7-inch capacitive display with a 800×480 pixel resolution -- not exactly top of the line, but enough to get most tasks done. We've reviewed the beta version of the app in October, and found much to like -- in particular, the smart layout, call reliability and fast operation. The Preview version of the app is not for everyone, though -- Microsoft notes that the "experiences" in the app are "not yet final." Grasket describes itself as a "modern-day care package creation tool." Targeted to deployed soldiers, sailors and airmen, users sign up for the service with their military-linked Facebook accounts or email addresses.
